Tom was formerly the Historic Buildings Officer and is now head of the Historic Environment team for Exmoor National Park. He will talk about his role and some  recent examples of  work to ensure the future and character of Exmoor's build heritage

Tuesday 17 November 2026 - Bryn Morris - Recent work by South West Archaeology

For almost a decade Bryn has been director of SWARCH a commercial archaeology unit operating mainly in Devon and Cornwall undertaking site evaluations, excavations and surveys, including recently work at Bear Street in Barnstaple

Tuesday 16 February 2027 –  Gary Dennis. Combe Martin Silver Mines.

Gary Dennis from the Combe Martin Silver Mines Society will share the history  and explorations of these mines which  were a cornerstone of the village industrial identity for over 600 years until the late 1800s.

Tuesday 16 March 2027 – NDAS AGM at 7 pm followed by speaker and then light buffet.

 Bill Horner.  Roman Devon. Bill is Historic Environment Manager and County Archaeologist for Devon.  He will talk about recent advances in the understanding of the Roman presence in the county.
